Couple of my favourites:

The Magic and Melee Defence Titles for Legendary Items were increasing damage taken instead of mitigating it. Whoops!

Okay so I had a bit of a look this morning, and a couple things of note so far

  • Your ;loc is now shown under your mini-map, just below the name of the region you're currently in.
  • You can link Legendary Items!
  • Level 60 only requires 5,077,313 xp.
  • Quest tracker is pretty neat.
  • Auto-revive is handy; you revive with like 25% power / morale.
  • Debuffs and Buffs shown on two separate rows makes it alot easier to see what needs to be cured.
  • Solo crafting instances are spread out and not locked to your profession.. There are quests inside for "Resource Barter Tokens" you can swap for a key to a Resource chest. The loot largely sucks, though.
  • You can track LI xp without having the LI dialog open -- you get a floating xp bar for each weapon.

Will have a bit more of a look around later in the week and pass on what I find out.

Apparently the new boss is a giant turtle, and it was 10-manned today on Bullroarer.

It drops lv60 first and second age weapons, and apparently barter tokens for Vile Maw gear.

So .. why do we need to do Watcher again, Turbine? :/

yea seems sad to say but I think Turbine still have little or no idea about decent raid design - they made a good run with the Rift but their efforts so far have been lacking, hopefully Bk7's release will give them a chance to work on all the instance content thats supposed to come with Bk8 :?

sounds like a raid version of tomb of elendil lol

when you said barter tokens for vile maw gear, dyu mean the same tokens the watcher drops for the +20 rad gear?

Most likely, since everything but the helm and shoulder's are 6man instances. Why would you go after a 12man run, when you can just as easily get it from a 6man.

Well I've been doing a bit more reading into this, and it looks like this new raid will be a precursor to the Watcher. The devs have stated it as being an alternative to running hardmodes for radiance gear. From the sounds of it he can drop coins for all pieces including VM head/shoulders. Being an alternative to hardmodes I don't think having radiance for the fight will be a requirement.

On the note of the Watcher it looks like it has been drastically changed to something more difficult and a hunter tank is no longer a viable option. Looks as if its going to be a corruption removal grind with a guard tanking. The tentacles will be harder because their health has hardly dropped yet everyone's toons DPS has. This means all the kins will be devising new strategies. Hopefully we can be up there right at the start and be in the first group of Kins dropping him this time.

I agree! I think we should probably try and get the remaining kinnies 6/6 before bk 7 so we can just tear straight into watcher and kick it's arse!
