I'm guessing its the same as http://cdkeys.com.au/

No comment, but I would pay attention to any social media coverage for both sites.

Gave it a go and yeah no issues.

Deus Ex for steam $26.99 USD.

Do payment through paypal, send them a little form confirming the payment/account then emailed a serial.
Add a game in steam, put in the serial then BAM ... all good.

Will end up getting battlefield 3 tonight.

Do all games you add this way to steam just work and you can download them using the steam client? (assuming they are also available through steam).

Or is it only specific titles that do it - ala Deus Ex etc?

How does Steam make any money out of the deal if you are buying from an external cdkey provider?

Steam has to host the file, transfer it etc, but you've paid someone else for the CD-key - what is their incentive?

I guess that one day you buy stuff off them? :P I don't anymore since these sites have been appearing, their prices are too close to retail prices.

I guess Steam attract publisher money still because so many people use the platform, and it's the best digital platform for games still, despite EA with origin.

Heh I only knew about it because of The Old Republic not being offered for digital download except through Origin (which was blocked to anyone not in the US or EU.)

They specify with every game if its via steam/origin/direct site etc, you can search by that. But there's games like HommVI for example where its just a legit serial number for retail copies of the game.

Not sure how steam makes money, but im sure its some deal with the publishers as there are games that you can buy retail but use the serial in steam.

And yeah ... steam pricing giving me the shits lately ... seen skyrim + mw3 pricing? not that i care bout mw3 though since bf3 is gonna take all my time

Ive got 200GB a month to burn. I still havent managed to come close to capping myself yet.

I'm even resorting to downloading shows I doubt I'll ever watch.

Hahaha, I upgraded from 25GB to 100GB about a year ago, been close every month and had to restrict myself, the external HDs are costing me heaps! Only download bluray movies now, lots of shows I haven't watched and have no interest in rofl. It's almost like a challenge ;)

edit: Oh and I have a 32" LED TV above my PC, which is connected, so when womenz come over for a 'movie', we can watch whatever the fuck they want really.
Well... watch about 10 mins of it ;) Best ever. 'OMG you have 'blah blah'?!?! When can I come over!!' Works a chaaaaaarm
