Hi from britan (mattyhack in eq2)

Post by britan » 25 Jul 2009, 00:43

Hi guys,

Just thought I would swing by and see if there are still any people around from the old Southern Cross guild run by Leo Armstrong, which started out as a Diablo2 guild way back in the late 90's. I think we also called it Australia's Finest Guild at one stage.

Would be awesome to catch up with some of the guys I previously ran with in D2, EQ, AO SWG and other games if they're still around.

Looking through the forums I see a few names I recognise, including Spyder and Secro - from memory both of you guys were also founding members of the EQ2 chapter of SC when the game was released Nov 2004?

I have recently returned to EQ2 and joined the current SC guild, under the name mattyhack.

Anyways, let's see if anyone remembers me!

Regards

britan

I remember you, mainly from our old network54 forums and D2 haha! :)

But nope, no EQ2 for me! I founded the WoW guild though, but I don't think you played that!

Good to see you around, Leo comes to the forums every now and then, he is playing Warhammer!

Hope you are enjoying being back with SC ! :D

Hi Secro, thx for the reply! I must be getting old hey, 5 years ago/10 years ago - it's all a blurr!

Really cant remember who the other SC guys were who joined EQ2 at release, mayhaps I remember you more from the D2 days. One other name that I recall is noose, I'm sure he came along to EQ2, is he still around?

Would be good to say hello to Leo again, We were the originals, in Leo's guild before the release of D2 so that must be over 10 years ago now hey?

Cheers and safe travels

Hey Brit, good to see you again.

We originally met in EQ if you remember :)
Good days there.

BTW I'm the guilty party who started up SC EQ2 with some good help from Bioni and others :P

Hi Brit,

I have only just come back to online games after a long break myself. Missed WoW altogether so about 4 years worth of break.

After you left SWG I think I kept up payments on your house... think you owe me about 20,000 gold. :P

"Safe Travels"

Oh yeah... that takes me way back...

Remember before there was even a guild we had a forum and you asked what I wanted SC to become...

Said something like " Well I hope it's around in 10 years and spread across multiple games" Well at least that part of the goal came true.

Anyway yeah I'm in warhammer now but we are a guild of 3 people...

Hey Brit

I remember you from way back when SC was a fledgling guild in AO. Glad to hear you're still around.

Cheers
