So I'm thinking about grabbing a SSD....

There a lot of information out there on the ol' net.

Anyone recommend anything?

It seems the intel x25 is what tops all the benchmarks. But it's horribly expensive.

I picked up a 60Gb OCZ vertex drive, sort of wish i had 120Gb but it was too expensive. Its certainly worth having one though, there was a good guide on SSd's by anandtech:

Cheers.

There's also these 2:

Here's a good one illustrating that there's a cap on performance when scaling these things using the typical mother board raid0 controller:

Heres a good OCAU post on G.skill mark2 drives:

So far, I'm looking at the G.skill v2 as having a good price/performance ratio.

Good thing about waiting until xmas 2010, is that there will be more models out - and hopefully cheaper too.

I think intel have said sept for a new model to their x25.

The brand I settled on was Patriot Torx. I bought 2x 64GB and plan for raid0.
