moo

I wrote a post but it won't let me put it up for some reason

I'll just rewrite some of it ><

PSP = FF7 Crisis Core, FFT War of the Lions, FF1 & 2.
DS = FF12 Revenant Wings, FF3, FFCC Ring of Fates

PSP has more multimedia capabilities and a web browser, the net on PSP will hook up to more routers whereas the DS is very fussy about what it will connect to. The DS FF games are re-makes in 3D to use the touch features, or whole new titles, while the PSP FF's are usually re-makes with graphic touch-ups and cut scenes, remastered music etc. Cept FF7, that's all new baby. If you have a PS3, you can download games to the PSP and play them (mainly old ps1 games). Overall i enjoy both systems, and have all the FF's on both, cept Crisis Core but that isn't out here yet =P

God of War is coming out soon as well weeee <3 GoW

I recommend DS - I may be biased but sqenix have released so many DS/GBA games that I haven't picked them all up yet:

* remakes of FF3 and 4 for DS in 3D
* F12 Revenant Wings (rts style game)
* FF:Crystal Chronicles Ring of Fates
* New FF Tactics coming this year

and if you somehow get through all that, you can start picking up the GBA games! (remember DS can play both)
* FF Tactics Advance
* remakes of FF 1, 2, 5, 6 (also 4 but the 3D remake is probably better).

PSP probably has some of the 2D remakes but the 3D stuff you won't get anywhere else. Also, if you're into the Mana series they've released a few DS games of that too :)

also, DS isn't region locked so you can import games that come out in the US months earlier than here. PSP you need to software hack before you can do that.

I recommend buying a DS.

But not only buying a DS, also buying this-

http://www.maxconsole.net/?mode=news&newsid=9221

It more or less the best thing youll ever buy for your DS, it allows you to put a SD card into the slot at the front, on which you can put games, videos, music players, even a miniature version of windows.

Plus, free DS games are winwin.

edit: www.bamboogaming.com

has good shit for DS.

yeah I've got a M3 lite for mine, although I always buy games that I wind up playing for more than half an hour :P

I found bamboogaming a little overpriced, I had it shipped from China for like $50 less. Unfortunately the store I bought it from (divineo) doesn't seem to stock it anymore.

Waz, if you want that sort of thing one of these combos is your best bet:
http://www.bamboogaming.com/combo-set/m ... od_74.html
http://bamboogaming.com/combo-set/super ... od_67.html

Don't worry about wrecking the DS - game loaders use an unpatchable software hack that happened after they cracked the DS's rom authentication algorithm.

Also, neither of those packs come with the required microSD card but those are cheap to buy anywhere.

the new SuperCard ds lite v3 doesnt need the slot 2 holder case thing, you just throw it in, as the sd micro fits inside of it. so all you need is the slot1 supercard thing, its $50 without the sd card, probably 100(50 more for the 4gb sd micro) overall, but in the long run it will save you money.

Heard of a few games that aren't working properly when they are pirate now actually. FF CC - Ring of Fates actually just ends the game randomly it says "Thank you for playing" then resets to the menu.

I still prefer my slot 2 version because it can run GBA roms ;)

it's the same size as the slot 2 placeholder on the lite, so you don't even notice it's there.

http://www.ozmodchips.com/cyclods-evolu ... bf21d3141b

there.

cyclods are the best available at the moment, they have the best software and theyre pretty well priced. You can just buy a cyclods and then buy the sd card seperatly if you want, either way its about ~110 dorras.

theyre bundles are pretty cheap though imo.
