If you have to explain in great detail why you're important, that should be a clue you aren't

I played the beta and all I can say is uggg what a terrible game. Maybe if you're a huge D&D fan you might like it but it certainly wasn't my cup of tea.

I heard it was a lot like Guild Wars, with everything being instanced apart from the towns. pretty :( if that's true..

still might give it a go

Towns plural? you make it was like DDO has more than one town in it o_O

Yeah, I played DDO just before it went live with the Starter pack from Preordering (which I then cancelled) and didn't like it. The idea is right but for some reason, it doesn't work and the finishing of interface, chat, etc ... is poor compared to WoW.

Let me know what you think.

I hate it. About an hour into the 7-day trial on Saturday, I just gave up in disgust at the interface. Pretty, but the interface is a pain.

If you use the mouse to move your camera its a PITA fo' sure. It didnt seem that bad. I remember the beginning of WoW missions suck a lot harder.

me and kash played for a good couple of hours (dunno really) and it wasn't too bad ... but only kinda interesting so i don't think it'd be worth a purchase.

if i log on solo it seems like much worse a game then it did when i teamed with kash tho.

yeah it's supposed to be a party game, much like Dungeons and Dragons has always been.

Several mates and I played the DDO trial over the past week. We weren't expecting much and predicted our stay would be short. To the contrary, we enjoyed the game and are planning to play for at least a month. Maybe that's as long as the appeal will last. We'll see.

Having 4-6 of us in a regular team makes a significant difference. PUGs suck. :) Plus we've all played PnP DnD at some stage and are familiar with the game mechanics.

Cheers
