Australian Launch Date

http://www.swtor.com/community/showthread.php?t=61243
"We can confirm that Star Wars: The Old Republic will be launching in Australia and New Zealand in the spring of 2012.

Right now we are targeting March 1st, but that could change as our number one priority is making sure that customers have a great service to play on.

For those of you who may have already imported the game, we will be investigating solutions to allow you to continue to play on a local server once they come online in March."

Gut feel is it will have a negative impact on the game even if they offer free server transfers. There is no "battlegroup" style of grouping of servers for pvp so if half the server transfers then pvp will be limited, it will also impact the economy as players migrate away to a new server.

I'm amazed at the stupidity of large corporations like EA/Bioware. They have had this game in development for 4+ years and now they think about launching in Australia with a local server (I still don't believe that though)?
If we were in the USA and they excluded a chunk of America to play they would launch a class action or sue them for mental anguish.

Drakatar rang me today and said there seems to be little world pvp going on. My other friend on The Harbinger (PvE) said it's rife and everywhere.

OMG, if there is going to be a local server I am rolling a backstabbing stealth class!
Only reason I'm BH is the 240ms ping.
