Now im too scared to change it just incase it buggers up and pushes the date out again since the stock is "unavailable".

Very seriously considering just paying the additional 60 bucks for a cd key :/
I changed my CE to ship to my brother in the US with no problems. I'm just hoping amazon ship earlier because even with next day shipping I'm looking at the 22nd...

Is CE really worth it?

I mean the statue is kinda cool but there is a pretty likely chance this game might be forgotten in a year, and then your CE will be gathering dust like my AOC CE.

Don't get me wrong I loved the beta and can't wait to play but I am a realist and would not at all be surprised if the game goes F2P within a year or more.

Probabaly.

But I just want it for the ingame stuff. Like the hella pretty speeder you can buy :)

And I reckon i could fob the statue off on ebay for at least 50 bucks :)

Also from Rockjaw@ Twitter (Stephen Reid)

FAQ: Game codes 'stack'. Start with SE code, you can add DDE and/or CE codes 'on top', get the items and game time. (cont)

So if you do get the standard edition for the extra 60 bucks, you will still get the game time, so its really only 45. 45 bucks for guarenteed play isnt that bad really..

Is this going to be one of those games where everyone rushes to 50 and then quit playing a week later cause they are bored and the guild is still on average level 25 :O

Nah this is a much casual game. The hardcore PVPers might get a bit meh after a while, but will have to see.

And considering theres actually a decent story line for each class, ill probbaaly role an alt of each class over time :)

Here is some tweets from EA and BIOWARE.

At no time has EA restricted retailers from shipping #SWTOR to be in players' hands on Dec 20. We've asked retailers to clarify.
Patrick Buechner - Marketing VP for BioWare.

We hear you & are taking the grace period issue very seriously. We’re looking at all our options.
Ray Muzyka - Co-founder, BioWare.

Redeem SE code, get 30 days game time. Redeem CE code on same account, get another 30 days.
Stephen Reid - Senior Community Manager for Star Wars™: The Old Republic™.

Just an FYI.

Wastey

Edit: Fitz beat me to the Stephen Reid one.

I've reduced my shipping on my CE to slower, and i found a key locally for 30 bucks on a SUPER DUPER DODGY SITE - so it could all go horribly, horribly wrong :D So so dodgy - I at least got a preorder code. The preorder code when i tried to redeem it said origin key, which is probably why they tell me that they'll send out the proper retail keys later.

Either that or they're probably sitting in the bahamas with my $30 bucks with lots of strippers and crack :(

For another twenty bucks you'd have the legit keys by now and registered. SE without preorder is 52 aud I think at CJS. Still 52 for ten days of game time is steep.

10 days (release date > till box arives) + 30 days subscription... not sooo bad.

no, it's just ten days because he already gets thirty from CE right? Or do they stack?

someone somewhere said they stack.

I won't be spending money, who knows they might still put some sort of shit grace period in, or amazon might start shipping em earlier, who knows.

If I do get desperate I'll wait till after early access is finished and then evaluate my options :P
