http://us.battle.net/d3/en/calculator/demon-hunter#fRXVgl!aYe!bcZcYb is the build im using in inferno.

Covering fire evasive fire is basically the best hate generator out there, massive (much bigger than graphic indicates) aoe instantly hits 3 targets inside cone, ignore walls/most terrains etc..
Nether Tentacles are just op at present, slow moving so hit large mobs 2-3 times (most bosses 4 times), pass through multiple mobs, just ridiculous

Shadow Power is in the purely so I can survive reflect damage mobs
Smoke Screen/Preperation are pretty simple :)
Rain of Vegenance with stampede rune as its a free casting aoe knockback and can help me live for a smidge longer.

Sharpshooter used to be the choice, however they changed the way it works so its not longer crazy good with Nether Tentacles (used to be that all shots in the air at 100% crit were pre-marked as criting all his, now only the first damage dealt is at 100% rate).

Basically inferno is glass cannon mode no matter how you play it, pretty much anything 1 shots even with ShadowPower gloom active (+65% damage reduction). Which is why shadowpower is only there to stop me killing myself on reflect packs :)

Biggest issue with covering fire is when it forces you to backflip into another mob or you get stuck against a wall/cliff etc and in a few seconds have burnt down all your discipline - but yeh it rocks :D

Well ...

- Numbing trap: 25% dmg done by mob is reduced
- Guardian Turret: 15% dmg received reduction

So far its working, I heal faster than I take dmg. Only dies atm when mobs get to me before I setup my traps.

ps: I hate dmg reflect ... I swear even critters in inferno have dmg reflect!

Is there any way to stop reflect?

So far i thought my rapid fire with snare rune on it seemed to be working..they were dying and i wasnt...

anything else? or is it just a case of hit and run / heal and repeat?

% reductions are fine in hell and lower, however in inferno especially in act3 standard fallen hit me for about 55k-60k per hit :)

Given my fully decked out barb tank in act3 gear with 8k armour, 900 resists, 39k hp dies in 2-3 hits from standard fireball throwing flyers, the best bet currently for DH is to glass cannon and kill stuff thats hovering around the edge of your screen.

Hopefully the rebalance in tonights patch helps, but without huge damage reductions I still foresee glass cannon being the best approach :)

I guess we shall see how it goes tomorrow

nope, but the reflected dmg is also reduced according to your dmg, so anyfhing that heals you sorta negate it. Nether tentecles, cluster arrows, bunty hunter, blood moon etc.

hit and run dont really work, dam phase beast with dmg reflect and waller ...

I use it at the moment, as its cheap..however the fear is only 40% chance, which is low considering when you need it the S**t is usually hitting the fan and it wont proc.
