WoW tunnels

Does anyone use WoW tunnels: http://www.wowtunnels.com for raiding? I tried this about a year ago when it first came out but at the time people were being banned for using it (or a very similar tunneling program) and I decided it wasn't worth the risk. I know that this has been around for quite sometime and was wondering if any of you have good things to report of it, I'd love to knock a few ms off my ping.

When I played WoW nov08 to march09, I used it and it was good for pvp; basically dropped my ping from 300 to 190. On some rare occasions though it lags and then it's faster without it... for a buck a month it's not really a big expense to try

Yeah I've been using lowerping for the last week or so, they very generously gave me access to a test server for raids and it's been fantastic.

im thinking about using this. my latency is getting stupid at times, up to 6-700ms.

can lowerping and similar services really be trusted though?..

how many other people use it?

also, why is lowerping so much more expensive than wowtunnels ($8 per month as opposed to $2)

wowtunnels actually tells you which servers are active on their homepage :s
only seems as if they have a couple of hundred users at any one time.. doesn't seem like much

selphie, both can only achieve the same, which is to tunnel your stream directly to the u.s. servers; i used wowtunnels for 3 months earlier in the year and found it easy; I used paypal for payment twice without any problems and i know that many pvp'ers use it in wow; i guess it's filtering through to the raiders now too...

Well my ping dropped from 400-600 down to 250 in raids so that's a fairly helpful change for me, you can chack servers in lowerping in the members section, although it doesn't give usage numbers, I only use the raid server anyhow. Lowerping has been around for quite a while now I remember using it about 18 months ago. I can't answer costing for the services, all I know is that on wowtunnels I went to a 4k ping during the raid and that hasn't happened with lowerping yet, for general use outside of instances both feel about the same.
