Re: I'm buying a new computer hooray

But being old, its not fanboism, its fear of change..Nvidia always served me well..only card I had blow up was an ATI :p I've always been ATI until this PC, thought I'd give Nvidia a go, they're doing me w...

Re: Can't find a driver I need

I reinstalled windows recently and it was on the CD that came with my motherboard, you don't by chance have that laying around do you?

Otherwise I'd google either your motherboard or your network controller (I think it usually has a name and number) and try your luck finding those drivers.

Re: Serviio (Playing Movies/TV shows on smart TV (DLNA))

Interestingly enough on my PS3, it displays everything all sorted and with correct titles, air dates, icons etc..however its not changed anything on my PC where the files are - it must be checking the web and sorting them, but only from a GUI side of thing, rather than changing the files themselves...

Yeah but the benchmark was for the 560 Ti and 7850 :p Looked at the 670, if I could afford that I'd be all over it! Maybe in a year haha

Re: Serviio (Playing Movies/TV shows on smart TV (DLNA))

Serviio has an option with 'Folders' with all the genres, thats how I do mine. Perfectly arranged in folders, so I go in there and see 'Movies' and 'TV shows' that I named, etc etc :) Yeah I went into folders but for example I had a movies directory and it still displayed nothing under that, was st...

Re: I'm buying a new computer hooray

In fact I just replaced my 2x5850's with a GTX670. Solid upgrade indeed :D Was sick of having to turn stuff down to less than high! How much was it? ~500 - 550? Also, you've got me looking at GFX cards now! Looked a benchmarks of GTX560 Ti vs 7850, the 7850 looked a bit better . Am I wrong? Should ...

Re: I'm buying a new computer hooray

I would spend the extra $10 bucks and at least get an Agility 120, double the write speed. Also dont bother transfer windows, just re-install. Its easier than you think and will end up running smoother witha fresh install. Ugh, I'll have to dig up the old Windows 7 CD. So if I just chuck it in, it ...

Re: I'm buying a new computer hooray

Quick question on hard drives... I'm noticing that 6gb/s is beyond my current hard drives and my mobo supports it. So I was thinking of buying a WD 1TB caviar black 6gb/s 7200RPM , BUT, can I transfer windows from one hard drive to the other...? If so, how? Also, would it actually improve my system ...

Re: Serviio (Playing Movies/TV shows on smart TV (DLNA))

I tried this one out, but its having to compete with XBMC running directly off my linux box near the TV. It never managed to scan the bulk of my library and seem to generate around a gig of daily traffic, I assume it got stuck on a file and was repeating some task that never finished. It did howeve...
